I currently relieve across all year levels at several different Primary Schools in Christchurch
Scale A Teacher, Sumner School
July 2009 - December 2012
At Sumner School I was a member of the Year 3/4 team.
My key responsibilities included:
• Implementing Sheena Cameron reading strategies to develop reading comprehension across our team
• Improving our writing programme and assessment
• Using MUSAC, and my own assessment folder to maintain accurate and detailed records for each student across curriculum areas
• Integrating our SURFER values and the school’s vision for teaching and learning into my daily
programme
• Organsing team sporting events
My additional responsibilities included:
• Proven leadership in Performing Arts
• I organised lunchtime practices and attended and participated in after school rehearsals and
concerts for the Wearable Arts section of the Cultural Festival

Professional Experience
Child Support Officer, Inland Revenue
November 2005 - May 2009
At Inland Revenue I worked for two specialised child support teams dealing with customers’ objections to assessment, and the resolution of complaints lodged with the department’s Complaints’ Management Service.
My key responsibilities included:
• Providing specialist advice, recovering arrears and establishing arrangements for child support
payments through proactive contact with customers
• The application of knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices underlying the
Child Support Act 1991, and the New Zealand tax administration systems
• The formulation and explanations of judgments, conclusions and decisions
• The application of effective problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation techniques
